Most people who have never been to a chiropractor wonder about what happens there. So, here is what you can expect:

Our reception area is similar to your family doctor's office. The setting is relaxed and informal. You will be greeted by Miss Leticia, our bilingual receptionist.

During your first visit, you will fill out a few forms to give us information about yourself and the reason for your visit, consent to examine you or your minor child, and insurance information, if available. 

Next, Your vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature) are taken. The doctor will talk to you and ask detailed questions about any symptoms that you may have and how they effect your daily life and your job. 

He will then perform a thorough physical examination including  posture, gait (walk), movement of the involved joint(s), palpation (touching for muscle tension, joint misalignments, skin temperature differences, etc), orthopedic and neurological testing. 

If the doctor determines that x-rays are needed, he will take them in our own x-ray suite, no need for referral to another facility and time wasted. 

That is pretty much it for the first visit. All that's left is to make an appointment for your report of findings. That is when the doctor reviews his findings from his examination and x-rays, let you know if you  are an appropriate candidate for his treatments,  discuss your options, and explain his treatment plan to best help you.
